Updates from the Board and Upcoming Events

Hello dear friends of the Montague Common Hall!
Lots of news, so grab a hot toddy or a cuppa tea and settle in!

We're Getting a New Roof!
Thanks to a tip from Suzanne LoManto of RiverCulture, we applied for a capital improvement grant from the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts to help us pay for a desperately needed new roof, and to our amazement, we got it! The 10K grant will put a big dent in the expense, but we need matching funds to cover the rest. Use the PayPal Donate button at the bottom of www.montaguecommonhall.org to help us finish the job!

MCH Board of Directors Comings and Goings
Mary Melonis, long-time member of the Montague Grange 141, and Board member of the Common Hall, as well as archivist extraordinaire and director of the Montague Historical Society, has retired from the Board. We will miss her no-nonsense, can-do spirit, her willingness to get her hands dirty, whether in the MCH garden or sanding and painting the hall, and her many tales from the annals of Montague history. We wish her a totally delightful retirement from the Board, and send many, many thanks for her years of service to this community.

And a big WELCOME! to Jonathan and Amanda, our two newest board members! We’re excited to have them join our small crew, and to have them bring new energy and ideas to the growth and development of our amazing, home-grown community center.

But wait! There’s more!
We need to continue growing the MCH Board of Directors. If you or someone you know is interested in helping out, please be in touch. You'll be working with a fun, smart group of people who are committed to community-building, and you'll have personal access to our beautiful hall when not otherwise in use to sing, dance, and experiment with your own ideas.
