2nd Saturday Open Mic

Beth Logan Raffeld is an accomplished singer of jazz, folk, and blues. She has enjoyed the adventure of growing musically through the jazz repertoire and experimenting through the opportunity to play with amazing musicians. Beth has studied with jazz greats Sheila Jordan and Jay Clayton who opened the language of jazz and sparked Beth’s passion for the Great American Songbook. Benny Kohn, Berkshire based pianist, is a fixture in the Western Mass Jazz scene collaborating with many Jazz artists as well as performing Solo and leading Duo, Trios, Quartets all over the greater Berkshire region and beyond. Michael Dunning embraced the upright bass and quickly established himself as a strong presence on the Scottish jazz scene. He has worked with many musicians, dancers, visual artists, and musical theatre.

The evening also will be filled by diverse performances performed by Valley artists as is the tradition of the Open Mic series. All types of performers are encouraged to participate in the Open Mic– musicians, poets, singers, dancers, storytellers. Come hear great music and other performances in a comfortable setting. This Open Mic welcomes and appreciates both emerging artists and seasoned performers. Performers should sign in before 6:15PM. Time slots may be determined at random depending on how many performers sign up. Come prepared to perform for 10-20 minutes, depending on turnout. Voluntary donations.
