Details: Sisters of the Circle
Sisters of the Circle is a trio that brings together singer-songwriters Sarah Pirtle, Christy Grecsek, and Hana Zara. They discovered last summer how much they love joining their voices and spirits. With guitar, mountain dulcimer, flute, and frame drum, they celebrate stories of inspiring people, changing seasons, and rising hope.
Sarah Pirtle's nine recordings earned her a lifetime achievement award and nine other national awards including Parents Choice Gold. Her newest book is An Outbreak of Peace, recipient of the Olive Branch Award for outstanding book of the year on world peace and it's set in Franklin County.
Hana Zara is an activist, songwriter and performer from Shelburne Falls. Her music has been featured on River City Folk and NPR. “For her poetic mastery, old-soul wisdom, beguiling presence, and the hammer in her heart that makes it all go, go, go, Hana is easily one of my favorite new artists on the scene.” -Tracy Grammer
Christy Grecsek is a singer, songwriter, writer and sometime actor, who works in non-profit arts administration and loves to read things out loud. A frequent soloist in concerts, shows, and events, she’s been singing all her life but only began writing songs in 2019, when the first one appeared in a dream.
*Masks encouraged but optional. Unvaccinated attendees are encouraged to wear masks;
*Performers can start signing up at 6:15. Names will be drawn and a random order will be created. Expect to play 2-4 songs (10-15 minutes), depending upon the number of performers.
