Yoga with Nadya
Sunday, July 27, 2014, 9:00 am until 10:15 am
34 Main Street, Montague, MA
Nadya Tkachenko, our resident Yoga Instructor, has been teaching a Tuesday 5:15PM Yoga class at the Common Hall, and so many of you from the community have appreciated the opportunity!
Nadya is adding a Sunday AM Yoga class - starting on Sunday July 13! This will allow some participants to practice twice a week, and others - to have a choice of the day that works best. This class will run on a trial basis through July and August, and, if there is interest, it may continue into the Fall.
ABOUT THE CLASS: This class has may of the same elements as the Tuesday 5:15PM Vinyasa Flow Class, but with an additional focus on building core strength. In addition to traditional standing postures, the class will include Yoga/Pilates reps to help strengthen the lower back and inner abdominals which are so important for a healthy posture and many of the daily physical activities. The class will also prepare everyone for more advanced Vinyasa Flow variations. And, you won’t miss out on breathing and meditation! Vinyasa (or Flow) style of yoga aligns each movement with breath and links all postures in a continuous flow. Seamless sequencing and clear guidance create a fun, safe and supportive space for the practitioner of any level to engage in progressively challenging practice. Through a continuous practice, you will gain strength, increase flexibility, and cultivate serenity. Come and enjoy the journey through breathing exercises, meditation, energizing and strength building posture sequences, and deep relaxation!
IS THIS FOR ME? This is an all-level class, with plenty of modifications for beginners, and with more challenging variations for advanced practitioners. Some prior yoga experience will benefit but is not necessary. No Pilates experience necessary. If you have recent injuries, please consult your doctor or email Nadya with questions firstname.lastname@example.org
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING? Nadya will provide several sets of mats, blocks and blankets, but if you have your own, please bring a mat. Bring a bottle of water, and a sweatshirt for relaxation.
WHAT IS THE COST?
Bundles of 6 classes - $78 ($13 per class, no expiration)
